CCSS Network E-Learning & Classroom Training
This E-Learning initiative has been developed in partnership with Georgian College to deliver up-to-date, cost effective and consistent learning to member agencies. This initiative is part of the vision for sustainable learning in Healthcare within the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN).
STEP 1
Start the process completing the Registration Form to purchase a block of E-Learning seats for E-Learning or Classroom implementation. Complete a separate form for E-Learning or Classroom Learning. The ‘Submit by Email’ address is provided; your registration will be acknowledged by Georgian College, move on to Step 2.
STEP 2
Create your Online Enrolment. Select the most appropriate form – under 25 users or over 25 users. Remember to enrol yourself.
STEP 3
Create a plan to implement the learning programs to your staff.
Please use the Collaborative E-learning Menu to your right to access forms, procedures or policies.
The Resource Menu will assist to answer questions regarding user issues, computer system requirements and additional information on using this e-learning system.
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
Description
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) course is designed to help workers store, label and handle hazardous materials safely in the workplace. This course offers a summary on procedures for cautionary labeling of containers of WHMIS controlled and consumer products, and the provision of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) and what employers’ and employee’s responsibilities are regarding WHMIS.

Community Worker Safety: A Safe Approach to Home Visiting
Description
This module will review recommended guidelines for conducting safe home visiting. It will also test your knowledge and understanding of the information presented. It is divided into 3 key sections including Planning the Visit, During the Visit and Completing the Visit. It will help home and personal support workers gain a clear understanding of the importance of safe home visiting, recognize the dangers inherent in visiting a client's home and to learn strategies to minimize or reduce these dangers.

Health and Safety for Managers
Description
This module is designed to explain employers' roles, responsibilities and general duty to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of employees at work. Employers will become familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), locating specific sections of the OHSA, understanding the concept of "due diligence", understanding Bill C-45 and non-compliance issues as it relates to the OHSA and Bill C-45.
